DET 211 - Hydraulic Brake Systems

Course Description

Introduces hydraulic brake systems used on medium/heavy duty trucks.  Classroom theory on brake systems along Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) are strongly emphasized.  Topics include:  introduction to brakes, wheel bearings & seals, antilock brake systems, hydraulic foundation drum brakes, hydraulic foundation disc brakes, hydraulic systems, and power assist units.
