Procedure: President Emeritus Designation
Purpose
To recognize retired Technical College Presidents who have provided distinguished service to their Technical College, community, and the State System of Technical Colleges.
Procedure
The Commissioner shall appoint a President Emeritus Committee of the Presidents' Council to receive nominations for the title of President Emeritus.
The President Emeritus Committee of the Presidents' Council shall review and recommend each individual under consideration for the designation of President Emeritus to the Commissioner of Technical and Adult Education.
The Commissioner shall recommend such individuals to the State Board of Technical and Adult Education for their approval.
The State Board upon approval shall present a resolution naming and honoring the individual as President Emeritus.
A lapel pin and name badge which signify the status of President Emeritus shall be presented to the individual.
