JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:
Allied Health Instructor

This will be a twelve-month contract position, renewable annually.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Must be a registered nurse in Georgia with a minimum of three years’ work experience as a practicing nurse in the past seven years. Doctor’s office experience preferred. Teaching experience is preferred.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include teaching allied health courses with a minimum of 25 contact hours per week required in the classroom. Teaching responsibilities will include Medical Assisting Skills, Medical Assisting Externships, Phlebotomy, and Practical Nursing. Instructor will need to maintain documentation on course materials, as well as student progress in the courses as required by agency standards and policies. Instructor will be responsible for advising students in the Healthcare Technician Certificate, Phlebotomy Technician Certificate and Medical Assisting Diploma programs. Duties also include serving on school-wide committees and other duties as assigned.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience; based on an established pay scale and includes regular State of Georgia benefits.
