Position Announcement
Position:
Veterinary Technology Instructor (Technician)
Description:
Responsible for teaching courses in the Veterinary
Technology program. Performs related academic
duties, including but not limited to: developing
course materials, updating curriculum to ensure
adherence to institutional and DTAE standards
as well as accrediting agency requirements,
and providing advisement, recruitment, and
retention services. Assists with animal care
and lab duties.
Required
Qualifications:
Graduate
of a Veterinary Technology program approved
by the American Veterinary Medical Association
with an Associate degree or Bachelor degree
in Veterinary Technology from a regionally
accredited college or university. Registered
as a technician by the Georgia State Board
of Veterinary Medicine. Excellent oral and
written communication skills. A criminal background
check is required prior to employment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Two-to-three
years experience in a veterinary practice
preferred.
