Special Populations

photo of person typing at a computer The Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education provides assurances that individuals who are members of special populations will be provided with equal access to recruitment, enrollment, job placement activities and the full range of technical education programs and activities available to individuals, including occupationally specific courses of study, Adult Literacy, Quick Start, New Connections to Work, and Tech Prep programs. In addition, many special services are offered to assist individuals with accommodations and support.

photograph of hands flipping through a book Special populations services provides supportive programs and services to assist students with disabilities who are academically and/or economically disadvantaged, students with limited English proficiency, non-traditional students, and students in corrective facilities. Special populations services strive to help students succeed in occupational training.
