Course Description

Provides training in professionalism through Child Development Associate Credentialing Certificate preparation in the following areas: applying for the Child Development Associate Credential through Direct Assessment; professional resource file development; and, strategies to establish positive and productive relationships with families.

Program admission, ECE 1010, ECE 1030, ECE 1050, 480 clock hours of work experience within last five years with young children and/or ECE 1021, and ECE 1022.

Development of Professional Resource File for CDA Document of Competency

Begin the preparation of the professional resource file that is a collection of reference material that the CDA will use an early childhood professional. It contains a description of the CDA candidate's work with child care information resources.
