MEN 103 – Marine Four-Stroke Engine Fundamentals and Servicing

Course Description

Introduces basic concepts of four-stroke engine theory and servicing. Topics include: four-stroke engine fundamentals, cylinder head and valve train servicing, short block servicing, and block repair methods.

	Diagnose, inspect, and service cylinder head and valve train problems.
	Perform four cycle engine valve timing procedures.

	Diagnose, inspect, and service cylinder block; crankshaft; and rod and piston assemblies, bearings, and seals.
