Presents the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare an area to receive mortar.  Topics include:  procedures to plumb, level, and square walls and floors; procedures to waterproof walls and floors; metal lath formation and application; expansion joint provision; base subslab preparation; bonding agent application; and backer board installation.
