Course Description

Emphasizes rehabilitation techniques and neurophysiological approaches to treatment. Topics include: neurological rehabilitation; spinal rehabilitation; amputees; prosthetics; and orthotics.

Describe the etiology and physiology of a stroke.

 

 

 

Describe assessment techniques commonly associated with a stroke.

 

 

 

Rehabilitative techniques

Describe the rehabilitative techniques for stroke patients including PNF techniques, NDT techniques, Brunstrom, Swiss gymnastic ball, and road techniques.
