Program Description    

 

The Health Care Technician certificate program provides exit points to Medical Assisting, Clinical Laboratory Technology, and Practical Nursing programs. The Health Care Technicial is a multi-skilled healthcare worker with knowledge and experience in phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKG, and basic respiratory care. Upon completion of this technical certificate program, graduates will be eligible to sit for the appropriate certification examination as a Phlebotomy Technician or an EKG Technician. Health Care Technicians are in demand in rural areas where healthcare personnel must cover multiple areas in the facility.
